The Central Trade & Industrial Registration Directorate was founded under the Ministry’s Organizational Regulations No. (94), year 1998. Several tasks were entrusted to this directorate in conformity with the Trade Law, the Trade Registration Regulations, and the Trade Mark Law.
The Directorate aims at creating a sound environment for investments in various industries, industrial handicrafts and other professional businesses.
In addition, the Central Trade & Industrial Registration Directorate publicly lists registered individuals and commercial entities to guarantee transparency and professional trust in the commercial sector; as well as to guarantee merchants and customers rights as trade names form a major definition for industrial property terms.
Other objectives performed by the Directorate are; creating a commercial environment that aims at facilitating commercial trade, and aims at providing commercial agents and mediators with better surroundings and facilities in which they are able to practice their activities. Moreover, the Directorate provides encouraging options for a suitable environment that encourages commercial lease.
