Industry and Trade Secretary General Muntaser Oqla on Sunday underlined the importance of the pharmaceutical industry in boosting the Kingdom’s economy. During a meeting held at the Ministry of Industry and Trade to discuss challenges facing drug manufacturers, Oqla emphasised the need for cooperation between the private and public sectors to overcome obstacles facing the industry and to increase its exports. Last year, exports of 17 local pharmaceutical companies amounted to around JD432 million.
